Where CL works

Recently trained teachers in DRC

Choose Life was first piloted in five schools in Nairobi in 2006. Every year more Kenyan schools join the programme as teachers and community workers are trained to deliver it. Last year, 139 teachers were trained, bringing the total number of young people who have been through the curriculum to over 25,000.

In 2010, Choose Life arrived in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in partnership with Wycliffe/SIL. Over 200 teachers have been trained in the Eastern part of the country, and equipped with manuals and lesson plans. A total of 83 schools are now taking part. You can read more about how Choose Life came to DRC in this feature article from our Interact magazine.
