Why do SGM Lifewords use the Pay it forward way of working?Pay it forward is a refreshing way of working that creates connections between people, and between people and the Bible. Ordering Bible resources from SGM Lifewords means you can be sure of receiving fresh, imaginative materials to inspire you and your church to engage creatively with the Bible. But you get much more besides – you can connect with people all around the world through the SGM Lifewords global family, by helping them encounter the Bible’s life words. How does it work?All our resources are available to you free. We simply ask that you make a donation to cover your order, so that the next person can receive their resources free as well. It’s a virtuous circle, where you get creative resources to inspire you, and enable others to benefit too. You give so the next person receives, and in that way you connect with people who are being life words all over the world. You don't have to donate in this way - just as you can also give over and above your order value if you so choose by making separate, additional donations. It’s up to you. How can my resources be free?It is thanks to the generosity of other SGM Lifewords supporters that all our materials are available to you free, because someone has already covered the cost of your order. That may be via churches, Trusts, individuals - anyone who wants to donate to the value of the materials they order, or simply make a gift to the SGM Lifewords global family’s ongoing work. What are the values that are displayed?The Inspire order process gives you a guide as to a suggested donation for each pack of materials (e.g. pack of booklets – £1.50). This is so that you can see what the value would be for your total order. You can then select to make that donation, or you can select not to. You also have an option whether or not to pay postage. If you decide to pay it forward you will be taken to a secure payment page (WorldPay) to conclude your check out. Do I have to pay postage?Again, it’s up to you - you can choose whether or not to pay postage. A postage & packing amount will appear on the ordering system based on second class post for the amount of your order, and you will be given the option to accept or reject. It will not affect your receipt of goods. Do I still get my resources even if I decide NOT to pay it forward?Absolutely. Pay it forward is a purely voluntary process, and relies upon the viability of a virtuous circle to keep the momentum going. You do not have to make any donations at all with your order, and you will still receive free resources. There is no limit to the amount of times you can order, and you can choose to pay it forward for some, none or all of your orders. Can I make a donation to your wider work?YES! All our work is funded by generous donations of people like you, who share our passion for the Bible’s life words – and the encounter with God that they speak of. You can donate to our wider work at the same time as you order: just follow the on-screen prompts as you process your order. You can choose to give to our Transform programmes around the world, to specific initiatives, or to the wider ongoing work of the SGM Lifewords global family.
