Sammy Kamore, Office Manager in Kenya, writes: “In Psalm 100:4 – 5 we read: ‘Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.’ This month, join us in praying for our Transform programmes and for the wider work of Lifewords in Africa.”
- Join us in giving thanks to God for the work of translating the Pavement Project resources into Lingala and French ready for use in the Democratic Republic of Congo. We are really excited about the prospect of bringing God’s Word to children living in situations of such need in Kinshasa. We would really value your prayer for the practical needs of getting all the material (and our team!) safely to Kinshasa.
- This year alone, Lifewords has supplied over 4,000 booklets to christians ministering to those living in the Southern Sudanese refugee camps of Dadab and Kakuma. The need for Scriptural resources is projected to increase as people begin to migrate to this new country, so please pray that God will provide all that is necessary to meet this need.
- The last few months have been a testing time for people across Africa as violence has marred the streets of towns and cities. We are thinking particularly of nations like the Ivory Coast and Nigeria, where the tensions between opposition groups threaten to spill over onto the streets. Increases in the price of basic commodities have also led to angry standoffs between protestors and government forces, so please join us in praying for God’s hand across the continent of Africa and for his peace.
