Faith Journeys in Europe

Zbigniew Szalbot, Communications Co-ordinator for SGM Lifewords in Europe, writes: “As we shift our attention towards Easter, we’ve started pray for all those who will be encountering God’s Word through both online and print media projects. We’re hoping to focus people’s attention on the mystery of Christ’s death and resurrection and invite people to share what these events mean.” This week, join us in praying for some of these projects.

  • For some years now, SGM Lifewords’ Faith Journeys have given many the opportunity to start conversations around God’s Word, growing together in community and faith. One supporter shared the following insight “For me, new life means a different way of looking at things. It means knowing that my problems are in God’s hands. It brings joy into my life and I what to share it with those around me.” Please pray that God would bless each of the activities planned for this Easter’s Faith Journey.

  • Having experienced freedom from addiction in their own lives, many Christians with a history of addiction are taking the initiative to help those with related problems. One Polish SGM Lifewords supporter wrote to share about the work going on in their community. “We have two groups helping to support those suffering from addiction and their families. Talking together over tea and coffee, we use the Bible to point people to God’s solution.”  Please pray that the life-transforming work being carried out by this community will help bring many living under the shadow of addiction into the light of Christ.

  • “My attitude towards Jesus is changing daily as I draw closer to him. Each day he transforms my heart, heals me and lets me know him better.” Testimonies like these are a tribute to the ongoing popularity and impact of our Life-Changing Words site. In Europe, the SGM Lifewords team is working on a set of four new online presentations to add to the site. They are available in eleven languages, and contain short messages to inspire people to start reading the Bible’s life words. Please pray that they will be widely used by current subscribers to encourage other people to find their place in the community and explore the impact of the Bible’s life words together.
