Transform prayer news

The Bible’s life words always contain the seeds of possibility, of hope, and of change. Join us in praying that in 2009, we will make the most of every opportunity to help communities-in-need to find life-transforming connections with God’s Word.

  • Final preparations are underway for the translation of Pavement Project resources into Hindi and Tamil. Please pray for the translators completing the work and for those getting ready to train to use the Picture Me counselling process with children-at-risk in India and Sri Lanka.
  • Having seen the impact of the Choose Life curriculum in Kenyan classrooms, we hope to pilot this Transform programme in the Democratic Republic of Congo later in the year. In light of the current instability, please pray for peace in the region and for God’s wisdom and protection for Lifewords’ staff. Pray too that through this teaching programme, the Bible’s life words will be brought to the heart of change in the Congo, empowering young people there to make good life choices.
  • Drawing on a tradition of visual storytelling in Indonesia, The Visible Story is being put to use in and around the provinces of Jakarta and Yogyakarta, helping mission workers to connect local village communities with the Bible’s life words for the first time. Please pray for the success of this new programme and give thanks for the new workers just trained in November.
