A suggestion: LCW should kindly do some work on the Desktop Live Backgrounds please? The backgrounds are too busy and the large typeface towards the right of the design interferes with the normal desktop programme icons (as do the avent-garde designs) – making the icons difficult to identify and select.
Peaceful scenes from nature or biblical images may suffice?
In the meantime – thank you for working for our Lord and Saviour in spreading His message – every day!!!

Just got registered in SGM Lifewords and was given a quote from Ephesians. Words: ‘confidence’ and ‘strengthen’ of the quotation struck me deeply and created the very sensations in my heart. Thanks and praise for the Words of Life.
I love the concept, but I’m not keen on the Bible translation used. The text often seems awkwardly-phrased. It’s easier to memorise a text if the wording “flows”.
I love the LCwords & impatiently look forwad to see them in my mails .They are like pearls in my every day life,strengthening,protecting & making me think abt divine side of our life.SIMPLY GREAT.May God be always blesst,Alleluja!

I am learning to appreciate the CEV Bible although I still study from the NIV and NKJV Bibles. I think this is year 3 or 4 now that I have received LC words – without fail, every morning, it’s there….. much like God himself. I am blessed just knowing that I will receive words of encouragement, words of wisdom – that touch me, sometimes even shake me into action for the day. I use the posters often for my kids or myself as inspirations on our bathroom mirrors etc

It’s a daily joy and encuragement to me to read the messages. They often seem to meet some need I have that day of eassurance, encouragement, or challenge. It’s God’s living Word to my heart. I personally find CEV helpful as I use it with an Asian lady whom I’m helping with English.
Despite the many years I’ve known the Lord and read His Word, I’m still learning more of the depth of His love and grace – Lifewords is part of that process.

The CEV is refreshing and easy to read, and I find that it compares nicely and accurately to the more familiar versions of the Bible. I read many translations of the biblie, but the one you are using is the worse of them all. Some verses are so badly translated and don’t make sence to me – it would be better if you used King Jams. other then that it is good idea.

This scripture is familiar to you, I’m sure: 1 Cor 9:20-22 KJV – 20And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; 21To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law. 22To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
To the rest of us, who may need help us understand KJV, here it is in the CEV: 20When I am with the Jews, I live like a Jew to win Jews. They are ruled by the Law of Moses, and I am not. But I live by the Law to win them. 21And when I am with people who are not ruled by the Law, I forget about the Law to win them. Of course, I never really forget about the law of God. In fact, I am ruled by the law of Christ. 22When I am with people whose faith is weak, I live as they do to win them. I do everything I can to win everyone I possibly can.
I agree with you that LCW is a good idea. Better yet, I believe God thinks it’s a great idea as it is touching so many lives across the globe (John 3:16 KJV & CEV). And that’s the Great Commission (Matt 28-18-20 CEV) that Christ left for us to do, isn’t it???
We can trust God to get His Message to the world using all kinds of methods and yes, translations. Be blessed.
This is not an attack, but I believe you should be more open minded about which translation is being written. Suppose this wasn’t done at all….all open minded critiques are well responded to…..I do not agree with everything written but I am glad the verbiage is there and is God centered……bless you!!

I really like reading the verse for the day. Often it is so appropriate for the circumstances of that day and therefor is very encouraging. Keep up the good work.
However, one question. Why do you call it “An ancient piece of wisdom:” It is God’s word, God’s wisdom…not just an ancient piece of wisdom, which sounds like it is human wisdom from ancient times. Why dont you call it for what it is: God’s Word says: ………or God’s Word for today: …………..
I agree that calling it God’s word for today would be a wonderful way of titling it, but maybe those who are not believers in God are more open to read and therefore receive the word, with its present title.
The readers know, if they care to find out where this piece
of wisdom is coming from, that the quotes are from
the Bible. Often the words Lord, God and Jesus are used.
It would bring glory to God if we acknowledge Him, who is the
source of all wisdom.

This is an excellent resource. I make the daily words into posters to use in church on the screen at teh beginning of the service, so many more poeple benefit from them. I am also suggesting people use them as a start to ‘getting into’ using bible notes – one sentence is no big hardship is it? Thank you, a lovely, well thought out resource. Maybe a few different backgrounds would be nice though!
Since i signed up to LC Words everything that was happening in my life at that moment Lc Words corresponded. at first at tought me the word, after that what ever i was going through Lc Words gave inspiration or guidance in some way. its very good i hope that everyone starts using it.

It is so amazing to read Lc everything morning. It gives me guidance and strengthen my faith. We are going thru though time for the last 6 months since my husband got laid off at work.
I have been using LC words for more than 2 years. They have been a guiding light throughout the period. I have benefited tremendously from the teachings. One bible verse a day will never be too much but is enough to remind me each day that we have a father above who loves us and will reach out to us if we seek him. It has been very real in my life. I really dont how i got it suscribed-am blessed. My usual day starts with “Life Changing Words”, and i have been using as my guiding light for the day.
This morning I was contemplating about my life and LCW mail comforted and changed my perspective about my life with these words,…. “God made the world and everything in it. He is Lord of heaven and earth. God has done all this, so that we will look for him and reach out and find him.
