I have just subscribed to your desktop live. The words are inspiring, but unfortunately, your backgrounds ‘scream’ and are distracting from the message you are conveying from the Lord’s Word…
The backgrounds also make it difficult to identify or read programme icons on my desktop.
I anticipated backgrounds reflecting ‘Peace and Tranquility’ associated with the peace our Lord brings to our hearts and minds…
Eg. scenes from nature… The sea – rivers – mountains – people at peace – biblical images etc. etc.
Consecquently I have decided to revert to my old desktop and just read your daily messages on my e-mail! (Please note that I would prefer the contrary).
I’m am sure their are more people out there that find your backgrounds distracting and disturbing… Possibly a survey needs to be done?
Can you folks do something about it?

Hi Pierre, sorry you find the backgrounds distracting. I’ll pass that on to the designers, who are currently working on some new visuals. The main reason for the look of DesktopLive is that we wanted to place scripture in a contemporary setting. The Bible speaks today, and is as relevant on a computer desktop as it was on a Galilean hillside. We chose graphics that bring the Bible’s words into our modern context, rather than transport us out of it. But, that style won’t be to everyone’s taste!
